I started sailing in the Optimist at the Braassemermeer when I was 8. At the age of 10 I began racing. Untill I reached the age of 15, I competed in 2 European Chamionships and 1 World Championship.
In the period 2002-2004, I sailed laser 4.7, laser radial and 470.
In 2005 I got selected for the national team in the Yngling. Together with 8 other girls and coaches Maurice Paardenkooper and Marjon Kooistra we trained full time for the ultimate goal: a medal at the Olympic Games in Qingdao. Together with Annemieke Bes and Merel Witteveen I was selected to fulfill that goal: a silver medal!
At this moment I am following a training to become a coach. So if you need a guesttrainer, please contact me.
